We are proud to announce that the return of the University Great Britain team roared back into action last month with a convincing 41-21 win away to Sweden. The squad was put together by Birmingham Lions Head Coach Wayne Hill. There were open try outs for any students wishing to see if they had what it would take to compete at the next level. The UWE Bullets entered their 3rd out of 4th game on the bounce with a short trip to Cardiff to face long time rivals the Cardiff Cobras. The 2-0 UWE Bullets entered the second out of their 4 back to back games at Fortress Filton, which saw them take on the Swansea Titans. Last year’s encounter was a close fought battle in the heart of Swansea on a “mud bath” pitch and the Bullets came out victors 6-0 in a game where passing the ball was almost impossible. The 1 & 0 UWE Bullets would have their second game of the 2012/2013 campaign against the only team that defeated them last season: The Exeter Demons. The UWE Bullets started the defence of their SWAC title on the 4th of November. The Bullets started the 2012/2013 campaign against local foes the Bath Spa Bulldogs hoping to better their 7-1 record from the previous season.
