The UWE Bullets traveled to Southampton for a joint pre-season training scrimmage with the Stags. The event was a follow up from last years pre-season scrimmage which was extremely useful day for both teams. The current UWE Bullets team were joined by some Bullet Legends for a joint training session, over 30 Bullet old boys came along to Filton Wise to strap on the kit to teach the new boys how it should be done. The UWE Bullets coaching staff have been working extremely hard  finalising the roster for the upcoming season. The good news for the coaching staff is that the club has decided that they are increasing the squad from 65 players up to 85 players due to the high quality and quantity of freshers this year. On Thursday 22nd September UWE held it’s own record breaking Freshers’ Fair with the highest number of students in attendance. The UWE Bristol Bullets have had a bad taste in their mouth after a heart breaking loss in the National Quarter-Final against the eventual National Champions Portsmouth Destroyers.
